In an industry where products and services are increasingly becoming commoditized, Red Rhino needed to differentiate their specialized expertise and service excellence to rise above a noisy marketplace.
Red Rhino Networks entered its 15th year of business with a realization that the world of IT had fundamentally changed from the "break-fix" model of services and support delivered by the computer and network techhnicians of yesteryear. Now, poised to build on their history of rock solid client relationships and a commitment to best-in-class performance, Red Rhino needed to evolve their identity and message to speak to the future and set them apart in a competitive market filled with alternatives, but no real competitor to their service excellence.
To differentiate Red Rhino authentically, we built on what had made the company so successful – their values and unique perspective. We began by surveying the industry and understanding the norms and best practices for brand communications in the MSP market.We identified Red Rhino's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and surfaced the emotional needs of their clientele above and beyond the the rationale for managed IT services. We revisited their current brand identity, and then zoomed out to reflect the breadth and depth of their view on the industry. We crafted an entirely new concept – a creative platform – that spoke to the stressors facing Red Rhino clients, as well as the company's perspective on the positive and negative forces at play in the IT landscape.

The new brand provided the foundation for a messaging framework based on the company's foundational values – positioning Red Rhino as a partner in the safari – evoking feelings of safety and security with clients who are now able to explore this jungle and grow their business with the confidence of knowing that they are supported by a true guide.
