PrecisionOS needed to entirely reimagine their brand and their place in the industry, driving industry recognition and enhancing credibility with investors and medical professionals.
We began with a discovery phase, interviewing stakeholders, surgeons, and medical training partners to understand their vision and positioning challenges. Our research uncovered a critical insight: the team needed to focus on the transformative impact of advanced medical education on patient outcomes, rather than simply promoting their VR technology. PrecisionOS wasn’t just another VR company; they were shaping the future of surgical education.After extensive workshops and discussions with the founders, we developed a new brand essence that communicated their intelligence, precision, and immersive approach to surgical training.
We introduced the Tangram puzzle as an overarching theme for VR due to its symbolism in infinite possibilities, creativity, as well as paying homage to the ancient foundations of education.
The Tangram puzzle is a 2D rearrangement puzzle made out of 7 polygons, called tans, which can then be replicated into an endless variety of patterns and silhouettes. The logo was made from this idea: building a cube structure using 7 polygons with infinite spaces and 6 different shades of blue. An alternate logo, the P, follows the same style.
The rebranded PrecisionOS now conveys a clear and impactful message to investors, industry leaders, and medical professionals alike. The refreshed identity highlights their expertise in advanced medical education, positioning them as a leader in the field of surgical training.The consistent application of the new design system across both physical and virtual channels has enhanced brand recognition and provided a compelling experience that resonates with their target audiences. PrecisionOS has since reported increased traction with investors, medical institutions, and partners, solidifying their place in the future of medical education.
